Eutectic plate
Eutectic plate is basically a different type of direct expansion evaporator with copper tubes and filled with a specific form of gel operating on the idea of coolant accumulation. The Eutectic Plate system works on similar principles to an ice pack in an ice chest. While parked, the refrigeration system is plugged in. The Compressor/Freon system freezes the eutectic solution in the plates to -40°C (for negative temperatures). Once the plates are frozen down, the system shuts off automatically. For delivery operation, the system is unplugged and the compressor does not run during use. Instead, the cold lost by opening doors and removing product is replaced by a heat exchange on the surface of the plates as they slowly thaw. This maintains the temperature inside the box between -35°C and -18°C throughout a delivery day of 10-12 hours. In addition to frozen applications in ice cream and frozen foods delivery, the eutectic body refrigeration system adapts to refrigerated applications for delivery of fresh products (dairy, meats and vegetables). The eutectic plate system surpasses the air-blown systems in cost effectiveness. Once frozen, no electricity or fuel is required to maintain stable cold temperature throughout a standard delivery da
For the moment we have one size available: 1700 mm x 690 mm (most known and used size) Within next three months following additional sizes will be available as well: 700 x 690 mm 1290 x 690 mm 1440 x 690 mm 1590 x 690 mm The material used in their construction. Eutectic plates are made of steel plates which are composed of two steel sheets that are cold formed and welded together by electrical resistance welding. The outer surface is covered with zinc as a thin layer. The plate contains a special eutectic solution with a fixed freezing and melting point. The eutectic evaporator (serpentine type) is located inside the plate and allows the solution to freeze.
Eutectic plates are CE certified.
